Robert 'Bob' Brodowicz

FRANKFORT — Robert “Bob” Brodowicz, 91, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully Feb. 14, 2014, surrounded by family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 50 years, Jane (Schubert).

He is survived by daughters, Blair (Jerry Foote) and Beth Brodowicz (Peter Mangiapanel); and numerous nephews and nieces.

Bob grew up in a large family with four brothers, Wally, Gene, Leonard and Irv and a sister, Jan (Garden), in Hamtramck.

After three years in the U.S. Army serving in Germany, he returned and earned a degree in business administration from Wayne State University.

He began a long career in the auto industry, first with Ford Motor and then Chrysler Corp.

He was an avid sailor, tennis player and so enjoyed his summer vacations at Watervale.

After retirement they built a home in nearby Frankfort.

They enjoyed traveling and spending time with their many friends and family in the area.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held this summer.
