KALKASKA — Richard Lee “Bear” Ingersoll, age 61, of Kalkaska, passed away May 13, 2013, at his home after a long battle with cancer. Richard was born June 3, 1951, in Grayling, the son of William and Wilma (Hollis) Ingersoll.
Richard graduated from Kalkaska High School in 1970. He liked to go fishing, mushrooming, and deer hunting. He was a member of the Kalkaska Moose Lodge #2348 for 23 years, and was also a proud member of the Union Local #1098 for 44 years.
Richard is survived by his wife of 35 years, Theresa “Teri”; sons, Buck (Julie) of Kalkaska, Richard (Angie) of Centerburg, Ohio, and Lindsey Havel of Marquette. Also surviving are his eight loving grandchildren, Grace, Reid, Emily, Carson, Jack, Jacob, Riley, and William; brother, Van (Carrie) Ingersoll; and sister, Sandra (Larry) Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother; and his son Jacob.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 16, at noon from the Wolfe-O’Neill Funeral Home, 106 S. Cherry St. Kalkaska. Pastor Dan Johnson will officiate. Visitation at the funeral home will be today, May 15, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, May 16, from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
