FRANKFORT — George Earl Felt, 85, of Frankfort, died May 6, 2013, at Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital Long Term Care. He was born in Muskegon on Feb. 10, 1928, to Clarence and Lillie “Lynn” Felt.
George was proud of his military service serving in the U.S. Army during World War II and also being called to duty during the Korean War.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a painter and some of his paintings hang in his home.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Diane (Burt) Lihan; grandchildren, Christopher and Curtis Lihan; brothers, Lynn (Sally), Roger (June), Chuck (Margaret) and Eric Felt; sisters, Virginia (Andrew) Zeiler and Ingrid (Arthur) Swanson; stepsons, Kerry (Tammy) Swisher and Bob Swisher (fiancée, Judy Green); stepdaughter, Cheryl (Todd) Wentworth; step daughter-in-law, Tammy Swisher; and many nieces and nephews. He also had 11 step grandchildren and nine step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his two babies; parents; and stepson, Kenneth Swisher.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 10, at Blaine Christian Church, with Pastor Bob Larimer officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Muskegon at 3 p.m.
In lieu flowers, contributions may be made to Blaine Christian Church.
