SCHOOLCRAFT — Pauline Vianna (Stein) Lee died June 27, 2013, in Kalamazoo. She was born Sept. 30, 1936, in Buckley, the daughter of Joseph and Crystal Stein.
She married Ron Lee, of Suttons Bay, in 1955. They moved to Mancelona in 1965 where she remained until retiring. She moved to Traverse City for several years then to Schoolcraft to be near her daughter and family.
Pauline’s passion and gift was working with young children. She earned certification in early childhood development and worked with the Mancelona Head Start program.
She enjoyed bowling, putt-putt golf and sewing. She shared the last 18 years with her cat, Angel, who passed just hours before she did.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Lee; son-in-law, Ron Wolak; two grandchildren, Tom and Lauren, all of Vicksburg; three sisters, Wanda Rushton, of Mancelona, Yvonne Skellet, of Clio, and Thelma (Jake) Sedlacek, of Kingsley; and one brother, Bill (Doris) Stein, of Kingsley.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.
Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
