WILLIAMSBURG — The beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt (AP) and friend lost a three-year battle with ovarian cancer on June 28, 2013. Paula was born May 21, 1965, to Donna and Robert Guston in Lansing.
She graduated from Everette High School after which Paula met and married the love of her life, Mark Korson on Oct. 13, 1990.
During this time she worked as a receptionist at a dental office.
While becoming a stay-at-home mother Paula was engaged in school activities and her church community, including working on funeral luncheons and serving on the pastoral council.
Paula was known for her love of shopping, singing, dancing and margaritas, but mostly for her love of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, Charles.
She is survived by her husband; sons, Juston (Alissa), Ethan (Kate Porter), Logan, Dylan and Quentin; granddaughter, Kadence; siblings, Cindy (Chuck) Smieska, Carolyn (Don) Drake, Jennifer (Bruce) Whipple, Robert (Christine) Guston, Diane (Rick) Whitcomb and Bill Guston; numerous nieces and nephews; family friend, MaryAnn Smrek and children; as well as many others.
A special thanks is extended to Hospice of Michigan, especially Connie, Cindy and Cathy for their care of Paula in her final days, along with the extra special thanks to her sisters, Cindy, Jennifer and Diane for the spectacular care they provided the past few weeks.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 1, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church, where a rosary recitation ceremony will be performed at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., with final visitation beginning at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 2, at Christ the King Catholic Church, with the Rev. Raymond Cotter serving as celebrant.
