TRAVERSE CITY — Rebecca Ann Elliott, 46, of Traverse City, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Becky was born on Sept. 26, 1966, to Donald and Sandra (Carmean) Mannor.
Rebecca was a loving wife and friend to her husband, Ronald, and a devoted mother and grandmother. She lived each day with determination, strength and bravery through a four-year battle with cancer.
Rebecca was an employee of United Tech/Lear Corporation for over 20 years.
She was an avid NASCAR fan who enjoyed camping and traveling, getting together with her numerous close friends and spending time with her two dogs, Yoda and Bear, who are missing her terribly.
Becky is survived by her husband, Ronald; parents, Don and Carol Mannor, Sandy and Tom Young; daughter, Ann Schwartz (Andre Bouthillier); grandchildren, Stephen and Joshua; sisters, Alysia Sims and Kelly Lemcool; brother, Kevin Barnes; grandparents, Pete and Marie Carmean; mother-in-law, Jan Rinal; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Scott Mannor; sister, Athena Olds; and uncle, Butch Carmean.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Kohler and Dr. Kam, as well as all of the devoted chemo nurses.
A celebration of Rebecca’s life will take place at 1 p.m. on May 11, 2013, at the Traverse Region Conservation Club, 4470 Norton Road, Grawn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HANDDS to the Rescue, a volunteer group dedicated to saving the lives of dogs, at PO 1953, Traverse City, MI 49685.
