John Edward Weaver

KINGSLEY -- John Edward Weaver, 60, died on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at his home in Kingsley.

John was born on Feb. 5, 1949, in Traverse City, the son of Carl and Marguerite (Wallker) Weaver. John was a good man and a great husband. He worked for Interlochen Center for the Arts for 37 years and BATA for four years. He was a member of Oddellows for many years, and the Michigan Auctioneer Association.

John offered sleigh rides and hay rides and he enjoyed spending his time on the farm and riding his motorcycle. He was a great story teller and loved to tell jokes.

John is survived by his wife, Betty (Leaym) Weaver; children, Tina (Ken) Woodworth, Tara (Greg) Lamie, Todd (Carol) Weaver, and Tracy Weaver; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and loving brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held this evening, Nov. 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley.

Visitation will continue from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, with a memorial service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley.
