North Stars rally for win

The Traverse City North Stars hit the road with a 4-3 win over host Jamestown on Sunday after a three-game series.

The Ironmen won the games on Friday and Saturday.

Traverse City's win required two comebacks.

Jamestown took a 2-0 lead in the first period after goals from Jeff McFarland and Luc Gerdes. However, the North Stars owned the second period, and evened the scored with an unassisted goal from Nathan Harris and a tally from Sean Murphy off an Alexander Taulien assist.

In the third period, Jeff McFarland gave Jamestown a 3-2 lead, but Traverse City answered. Harris scored off assists from Eric Rivard and Jared VanWormer while Kyle Loridon netted the winner unassisted with less than 4 minutes left in the game.

Zach Nagelvoort got the win in net with 23 saves.

The North Stars return to action next weekend at Michigan.
