Stephenson inks at Wisconsin-Eau Claire

TRAVERSE CITY -- Traverse City North Stars goaltender Brandon Stephenson signed with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Stephenson went 20-21-10 with three shutouts and a 3.24 goals-against average.

Prior to joining the Stars, Stephenson was a two-time all-state pick at Saline, backstopping the school to its first-ever state finals berth in 2006, a loss to Traverse City Central. He went 53-7-0 with 11 shutouts and a .945 save percentage in his prep career. He owns the first shutout in North Stars history -- a 4-0 win at Team USA on Feb. 27, 2008.

The North Stars' summer re-stock gets underway next weekend (June 5-7) with the first open tryout camp of the summer at Centre ICE arena.
