Stars fall in shootout
MARQUETTE -- Marquette's Michael Thompson scored in a shootout to give the Rangers a 3-2 win over the Traverse City North Stars on Saturday night. It was the regular season NAHL finale. Eric McLintock and Dan Radke scored in regulation for the Stars while Collin Saint-Onge and Chad Pietila tallied for Marquette. In the shootout, Traverse City's Kyle Bonis and Marquette's Reed Rushing scored to keep it even. Thompson was Marquette's eighth shooter. Kyle Jean had two assists for the North Stars. Brandon Stephenson stopped 45 shots.
