North Stars rally against Marquette

FROM STAFF REPORTS

TRAVERSE CITY -- The Traverse City North Stars erupted for three third-period goals Saturday to edge Marquette 3-2 in a North American Hockey League game.

Nathan Urbaniak netted the winning goal with 1:01 to play on assists from Kyle Bonis and Garrett Thompson.

Down 2-0, Urbaniak started the comeback with a goal 13:39 into the final period. Bonis and Chris Heineman assisted.

Bonis then tied it with just under two minutes to play with an unassisted tally.

CJ Motte turned aside 25 shots on goal for the North Stars.

James Gallagher and Ryan McGrath scored for Marquette.
