Kreh signs book

Traverse City — Ken Kreh, author of "I See Him! I See Him!," will sign his book from 2 to 4 p.m. today, Aug. 26, at Horizon Books, 243 E. Bridge walk

Bellaire — The Friends of the Bellaire Library will hold a local bridge walk on Labor Day, Sept. 3, to promote children's literacy.

Walkers will meet at 10 a.m. at Richardi Park to walk the three bridges in Bellaire. Donations will be accepted for the library's children's reading programs. For details, call the library, 533-8814.

Book groups meet

Interlochen — Evening and morning book discussion groups will meet at the Interlochen Public Library, 9700 Riley Road.

The Evening Book Discussion Group will get together at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, to talk about Jamie Ford's "Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet."

The Morning Book Discussion Group will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, to discuss Jack Driscoll's "Wanting Only to Be Heard."

Castle history

Charlevoix — "For The Love of a Castle," the biography of Castle Farms, is now available.

The 96-page soft-cover book tells the story of the 1918 French Renaissance castle's history, architecture and restoration and features color photographs and rare black and white archival images. It was written by current Castle Farms owner Linda Mueller, and Kathleen Irene Paterka and published by Harbor House Publishers of Boyne City.
