TC power leads Hounds to 6-2 victory

TRAVERSE CITY — A little Traverse City power led the Hounds to a 6-2 victory in Midwest Junior Hockey League action Sunday.

Jacob Gillis had four points and Tyler Thirlby and Cam Fisher three each. Each of the three hails from TC.

The win keeps the Hounds undefeated at 8-0, three weeks into the season.

Gillis had two goals and two assists, Thirlby two goals and an assist and Fisher three helpers.

David Krejcik made 26 saves on 28 shots to earn his fourth win of the season.

Gillis and Fisher are tied for second in the MWJHL in scoring with 20 points each.

The Hounds' other goals came from Alex Devries and Dalton Gertsen. Patrick Rogowski had two assists.

Traverse City heads downstate to play the Detroit Fighting Irish in a three-game series next weekend at the Allen Park Civic Arena.
