Update on 09/09/2013 historical photo

Historical photo information, provided by readers, for the Sept. 9 image:

• Joyce Wilson and Phyliss John called to identify the people in the photo. The older woman is Mary K. Smith, her son (with the cane) is Eldon Smith, and the young girl was Mary's niece Nancy Wilson, later Nancy Chippewa.

The photo was taken around 1955, probably near Kewadin. Mary, Eldon and Nancy were/are all part of the Native American families that live in the Kewadin area.
