More on Baha'i faith

Traverse City Record-Eagle

---- — Baha’i is a relatively new independent world religion with an estimated 5 million followers worldwide.

Founded in 1863 in Persia (now Iran), Baha’i followers believe that all humanity is one single race and that the day has come for its unification into one global society.

The religion is focused on building a just, peaceful and sustainable world, neighborhood by neighborhood. Other guiding beliefs are: the common origin and unity of purpose of all world religions; the harmony of science and religion; equality of women and men; elimination of all forms of prejudice; spiritual solution to economic problems; and the establishment of a world commonwealth of nations.
