TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse City Wolves fell to 2-1 with a 33-13 home setback against the Detroit Ravens.
Cody Russell put the Wolves up 6-0 early in the game with a 46-yard interception return, but the Ravens would score the game’s next 26 points. TC added a fourth-quarter score on a Pablo Bocardo 12-yard pass to tight end Aaron Bennett.
Matt Ohlert led the Wolves defense with 12 tackles, while Alvin Sitkiewicz had nine tackles and a sack, Vai Taula and Tim Ohlert had eight stops each and Russell and Ryan Salisbury each had seven tackles.
Josh Wiggins was 5 for 12 passing, while Bocardo was 1 for 2. Bocardo led the team in rushing with 62 yards on six carries, and Davonn Cooper added 29 yards.
Traverse City had a 35:56-24:04 advantage in time of possession, but were outgained 408 yards to 103. The Wolves were 0 for 15 in third-down conversions.
Traverse City travels next Saturday to play the Illinois Firehawks.
