n Dr. John R. Lee Evans, a 1998 graduate of Petoskey High School and Kalamazoo College in 2002, recently received his Ph.D. in sport and exercise psychology from University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

n SEEDS recently announced that the Benzie Central/Frankfort Middle School First Tech Challenge (FTC) team #5405 N.E.R.D.S. (Newly Energized Robot Designing Scientists) advanced to the West Michigan Championship tournament in Holland on Dec. 15. They placed 11th out of 23 teams.

SEEDS is a 501c3 nonprofit organization established to foster local solutions to global issues. They bring a holistic perspective, making connections between ecology and social justice.
