Grand Traverse Teen Pregnancy at a glance

Teens aged 15-19: There were 98 pregnancies recorded in 2011.

Teens under 20: There were 63 total live births in 2011 — six were to teens who were already mothers.

Teens aged 15-19: just 50.8 percent received prenatal care in the first trimester.

Mothers under 20 (Michigan-wide): say their intimate partners inflict physical violence on them at rates of 23.6 percent and emotional violence upwards of 20 percent.
