Thomas "Tim" L. Corrado

TRAVERSE CITY — Thomas "Tim" L. Corrado, 89, of Old Mission Peninsula, passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

Tim was born on Dec. 2, 1922, to the late James and Mabel (Ventmiller) Corrado in McKees Rock, Pa. On Nov. 19, 1966, Tim entered into marriage with the former Virginia M. Fouch at the Church by the Sea in Bell Harbor, Fla.

After high school Tim moved to Miami and eventually lived and worked in the states of Washington, Oregon, and Hawaii before returning to South Florida and Old Mission. Tim retired as sales manager for A.D.M. Assoc. in Miami.

Tim honorably served his country as a corporal with the 35th Infantry Division, 134 Regiment of the United States Army during World War II.

He was a Master Mason as a member of Mason Lodge #388 in Miami.

Tim is survived by his loving wife, Virginia "Ginny" Corrado of Old Mission Peninsula, several nieces and nephews, close neighbors, and many other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Elizabeth DeArdo.

Private family services will take place and burial will be held in Ogdensburg Cemetery on Old Mission Peninsula.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church.
