Second Lt. Tylor Bott has graduated 21st out of 970 cadets, from the United States Military Academy. He received a five-pointed gold star and gold wreath as the recipient of the Superintendent's Award for Excellence and is an honor graduate. He is a member of honor societies Tau Beta Pi and Phi Kappa Phi. At a special awards ceremony, he received the Order of the Founders and Patriots of America Award and was presented with a Cadet saber for excellence in his major, environmental engineering. Bott was a member of the intercollegiate Army Black Knights football team.

The 2005 graduate of Traverse City St. Francis High School and son of Dean and Christina Bott, of Buckley, will attend Officer Training School in Fort Lewis, Wash.
