TRAVERSE CITY — Traverse City and Washington will play a doubleheader today after rain washed out Tuesday’s night’s Frontier League clash at Wuerfel Park.

Game one starts at 6:05 p.m. The nightcap will follow a half hour after the conclusion of the opener. Both contests are slated for seven innings.

The Beach Bums enter the twinbill 50-37, a half-game behind Lake Erie in the East Division. Lake Erie lost to Windy City on Tuesday.

The Beach Bums lead the wild card race by 2.5 games over Gateway, Southern Illinois and Florence.

Traverse City has nine games remaining, six at home then three on the road at Lake Erie.
