TRAVERSE CITY — A Cedar man was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk with his 14-year-old son in the vehicle.
Leelanau County Undersheriff Steve Morgan said the 46-year-old man was driving north on South Lake Shore Drive, north of Sharnowski Road, when he lost control of his 1998 Land Rover Sunday at 3:10 p.m. Deputies said the vehicle went off the road and rolled over. The man’s teenage son was in the vehicle at the time, but neither he nor the driver sustained injuries, Morgan said.
The man was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated, driving with a high blood-alcohol content and child endangerment. Morgan said the driver’s blood-alcohol content registered at 0.18.
The suspect’s name was not immediately released pending arraignment.
