Man arrested for kicking dog

TRAVERSE CITY — City police arrested a Peshawbestown man after an assault on Union Street.

Four teenagers who were playing a game in the area of Hannah Park were approached by three suspects on Sept. 27 at about 7 p.m. One of the suspects challenged the teens to a fight, so they walked away.

As they walked away, they were confronted by two other suspects, one of whom demanded to know why the teens were "messing with" his uncle. That suspect tried to punch one of the teens, missed, and then kicked his dog.

That suspect, 25, was arrested and could face assault charges.
