TRAVERSE CITY — Road work on a Grandview Parkway bridge will create single lane closures for motorists.
Michigan Department of Transportation crews start patch work May 27 on the U.S. 31 bridge that spans the Boardman River, called the Murchie Bridge. The work requires single lane closures, with traffic being shifted to open lanes within a 10-foot width restriction.
Work will occur between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. until the project’s expected June 2 end date. The bridge will remain fully open at night and the weekend.
Boaters who need permits to move their crafts through the project area are encouraged to call the Traverse City Transportation Service Center at 231-941-1986.
