Charges dropped against woman accused of sheltering wanted man

TRAVERSE CITY — Prosecutors dropped a misdemeanor charge against a Grand Traverse woman accused of sheltering a wanted man, court records show.

Katie Hursh, 27, was charged with a single count of harboring misdemeanants in January after deputies said she sheltered a man wanted on a domestic violence warrant.

A deputy went to her apartment in December in search of a man wanted on a domestic violence warrant. Authorities said Hursh said she had no idea where he was, but deputies returned and found him there not long after.

Prosecutors this month determined facts in the case did not merit prosecution, according to court records.
