Tigers sign Bonderman
DETROIT — The Detroit Tigers have signed Jeremy Bonderman to a minor-league contract.
Bonderman he will join the Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens on Thursday.
Bonderman was recently released by the Seattle Mariners. He went 1-3 with a 4.93 ERA in seven starts for the Mariners this season.
The Mud Hens have an open spot because starting pitcher Derek Hankins left the team this week to play in Korea.
Bonderman made a comeback with the Mariners in spring training this year after having not pitched since the 2010 season.
