The Implementation Team
The IT was formed by dam owners Traverse City and Grand Traverse County in 2005 to work on a settlement agreement with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to decommission Boardman, Brown Bridge and Sabin dams.
It makes recommendations and decisions concerning overall planning and direction of the dam removal process. All meetings are open to the public and subject to the Open Meetings Act.
The team hired Conservation Resource Alliance in 2009 as project manager of "The Boardman: A River Reborn" dam removal and river restoration project.
