Division Street will be reduced to 2 lanes

TRAVERSE CITY — Motorists can expect significant traffic delays on Division Street as sewer repairs will reduce one of the city’s busiest roadways from four lanes to two over a two-day period.

The two northbound lanes of Division Street/U.S. 31 will be closed from West Front Street to Sixth Street for two days, July 15-16, city officials said. Travel will be reduced to one northbound and one southbound lane. Access to Fifth Street from Division Street also will be limited. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes to avoid expected congestion.
