GT Pavilions moves forward with PACE Center

TRAVERSE CITY — Grand Traverse Pavilions officials moved one step closer to turning the county’s former health department building into a new, one-stop center for elderly care and services.

Pavilions officials informed county administrators that they’ll exercise a lease option at the old health department building, at 2325 North Garfield Road.

Pavilions officials plan to house a PACE Center, or Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly — at the site. PACE centers congregate nurses, doctors, therapists, aid providers and any other professional services for seniors under one roof.

The two entities have 60 days to reach a lease agreement.
