NMC to set 2014-15 budget

TRAVERSE CITY — Northwestern Michigan College Trustees will vote on the college’s next fiscal year budget during a meeting Monday.

Trustees will consider approving a general fund budget that includes about $43.7 million in expected revenues and $42.6 million in expected expenditures, college records show.

The two figures represent increases of roughly $600,000 and $800,000, respectively, from the 2013-14 fiscal year budget.

College officials expect to earn 54 percent of their fiscal year 2014-15 revenue from student tuition and fees, 22 percent of the revenue from local property taxes and 21 percent from state funding sources.
