TRAVERSE CITY — Authorities determined exposure killed two brothers whose bodies were found in a tent in rural Antrim County.
Antrim County Sheriff Dan Bean said a medical examiner in Grand Rapids listed the cause of death for Robert Eric Nothstine, 51, and Daniel Lloyd Nothstine, 56, as exposure on their death certificates.
The brothers walked into the woods near the Cedar River with a borrowed tent in hand last summer. They were never seen alive again.
People looking for deer antler sheds in late April in Custer Township stumbled across the brothers' tent.
