Kingsley unbeaten at Quad

Kingsley won three matches at the Reed City Quad, dropping only one game out of the seven it played.

The Stags (46-7-6) took down White Cloud (25-13, 25-20) and Benzie Central (25-17, 25-14), then ended the day with a victory over Reed City in three games (24-26, 25-13, 15-12).

Kingsley was led on the day by Lilly Travis (23 kills, 20 digs, 26-for-27 serving); Alysia Folkersma (17 kills, four blocks, four aces); Autumn Goggin (23 kills, 22 digs, 34-for-35 serving); Leah Hall (11 kills, 67 assists, 19 digs); Lindsey Weber (42 digs, 36-for-27 serving); and Molly Franke (five kills, four blocks).

The Stags are hosting the Digging for Districts Quad on Friday afternoon.

Pellston splits two matches

Pellston’s volleyball team lost to Gaylord and beat Grayling in a pair of matches.

The Hornets fell to Gaylord 19-25, 25-23, 12-15, and beat Grayling 25-19, 28-30, 15-9.

Leading the Hornets were: Mackenzie Wright (20 kills, 17 digs); Abbie welch (10 kills, 15 digs, 5 aces); Hanah Carter (34 assists, 19 digs); Breah Carter (10 digs, 2 aces); Kelly Lewis (4 kills 17 digs); Sam Stark (4 kills); Olivia Grant (3 kills); and Breanna Sisman (2 kills).
