GLEN ARBOR — The Glen Arbor Art Association’s Readers’ Theater will open its third season with “Notorious.” The 1948 screenplay was written by Ben Hecht and directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The Readers’ Theater will present the Lux Radio Theater’s adaptation of the “Notorious” film script. The production will be staged at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 18-19, with a 3 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Oct. 20, at the GAAA, 6031 S. Lake St.. TRAVERSE CITY — Family and associates of Judi Maloney are planning a benefit to help Maloney and her family with medical expenses.
Maloney suffered a stroke in June, just days after completing the Bayshore Half Marathon. She spent the summer recovering in the hospital. Maloney is home now and her family is trying to pay her medical expenses.
On Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., quarts of Minerva’s award-winning white chicken chili will be sold in the front lobby of the Park Place Hotel, 300 E. State St. The price is $10 a quart. Large orders will be taken and need to be placed by today, Oct. 15. Cash and personal checks will be accepted.
On Wednesday, Oct. 23, the Traverse City Track Club will dedicate their runs to Maloney. Five- and three-mile options are available from 6:30-7:30 p.m. starting in the Park Place Hotel back parking lot. Everyone is welcome. In addition, Minerva’s chili will be available to purchase for one hour after the run.
