Man accused of flashing stolen gun faces additional charges

TRAVERSE CITY — Tahca Takiya-Mahpiya Milk, a man accused of pulling a stolen gun at a party, faces additional criminal charges in Grand Traverse and Leelanau counties.

Prosecutors in Leelanau County charged Milk with second-degree home invasion and being a habitual offender. Milk also faces a new charge of receiving and concealing a firearm in Grand Traverse County.

Milk, 29, was originally arrested in February after authorities say he stole a gun from an Elmwood Township home. He later that month flashed the gun at a house party in Traverse City and ran away, police said. The additional charges are a result of continued investigations in the two incidents.

Milk remains lodged on $100,000 cash bond awaiting a Grand Traverse County district court preliminary examination today.
