TRAVERSE CITY — Two suspects who unwittingly drove up to a bust at a suspected methamphetamine lab led authorities to another drug bust.
Traverse Narcotics Team officers and Grand Traverse County sheriff's deputies served a search warrant late Thursday at 1629 Barlow St. and found suspected meth lab components, authorities said.
The probe led to another suspected lab when two men -- William Stevenson and Jacob Kobza -- arrived at the residence as authorities conducted the search and then fled in a vehicle. Deputies quickly tracked down the suspects and got information about another potential lab at 1236 Oakland St.
Authorities early Friday found more suspected meth lab components in an apartment and arrested a resident, Elizabeth Smith.
