Break-in under investigation in Garfield

TRAVERSE CITY — Authorities are investigating a vehicle break-in in Garfield Township.

Deputies were sent to a residence on Greenbrier Drive at around 10 p.m. Sunday after a resident scared a person away from their vehicle.

Foot impressions located in the area indicate three suspects may have been involved. Deputies recovered a pair of snowboard boots and some alcoholic beverages left behind by the suspects. Authorities believe the suspects approached vehicles at six residences.

Anyone missing property from their vehicle in that area or with information about the crimes is asked to contact the Sheriff's Department at 995-5000 or Silent Observer at 947-8477.
