Intruder arrested

TRAVERSE CITY - City police arrested a man after a home invasion on 12th Street.

The incident happened on Saturday at about 2:45 a.m. A man and his wife were asleep when they awoke to loud pounding on the front door, followed by broken glass. The man came out of his bedroom and saw the suspect standing in his home.

He called 911, and police tracked down the suspect a short time later. He was intoxicated and said he made a "huge mistake," police said.
