TRAVERSE CITY — A Grayling woman faces criminal charges after a Williamsburg casino employee caught her breaking into a car.
A Turtle Creek Casino employee saw Jacquelene Irene Mikolaczyk, 51, enter a Kia Sorento on June 17, court documents state. Security confronted Mikolaczyk, and Michigan State Police were notified.
A trooper noticed a plastic sun visor on the exterior of a Chevrolet Silverado that apparently broke as she tried to pry open the window, court documents state.
Mikolaczyk admitted to entering the Kia and attempting to enter the Chevrolet with a crowbar, according to court documents.
She’s charged with breaking and entering a vehicle causing damage, breaking and entering a vehicle to steal property less than $200 and as a habitual offender. Court documents state Mikolaczyk was convicted of larceny in a building in 2005 and embezzlement in 2007.
A preliminary examination is scheduled for July 3.
