TRAVERSE CITY — A Rapid City man is expected to appear in court Wednesday to face criminal sexual conduct charges that stem from one of two alleged sexual assaults he committed last year.
Nathan Haggard, 19, is accused of sexually assaulting a girl after a prom in May and assaulting another woman at her home in November.
A preliminary examination is scheduled for Wednesday in 86th District Court for a charge of third-degree criminal sexual conduct in the November incident.
The victim in that incident told deputies Haggard sexually assaulted her at her home in late November. Afterward, he grabbed her shoulders, pushed her to the side of the bed and left, court documents state.
Haggard is accused of sexually assaulting a girl, 15, after they attended prom together at Park Place Hotel. After the dance, he drove to a local school and parked in back, deputies said.
He got out of the car, walked to the passenger side door and when the girl refused to get out, he physically removed her, deputies said. The victim told authorities Haggard pinned her to the side of the car and assaulted her as she yelled for him to stop and take her home, records show.
Haggard faces separate charges of assault with intent to commit sexual penetration and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim between the ages of 13 and 16 for that incident.
His attorney did not return calls for comment.
Bond was set at $25,000 and conditions include he live at home, abide by a curfew and do not have contact with victims and anyone under the age of 18. He is not currently jailed.
