Two arrested in TC meth bust

TRAVERSE CITY — An investigation into methamphetamine sales sparked the arrest of two men.

A Kalkaska man, 27, and a Traverse City man, 21, face multiple felony charges.

Authorities said information received by Traverse Narcotics Team officers indicated methamphetamine sales were taking place at a home at 804 S. Union in Traverse City.

Undercover officers purchased methamphetamine during the investigation and the house was searched on Tuesday. The search turned up pills, suspected drug paraphernalia, drug packaging supplies and items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Traverse Narcotics Team Lt. Dan King said the house had two separate apartments and the residents in the other unit were not affected. He does not believe there is anyone still living in the unit where the paraphernalia was found.

The type of pills that were found with the paraphernalia and manufacturing supplies have not been identified pending a lab report, King said.

The arrests were made on Tuesday by TNT, Traverse City Police and the Methamphetamine Response Team.
