NMC BBQ projects earmarked
TRAVERSE CITY — A group of volunteers selected seven projects to receive funding from Northwestern Michigan College’s annual barbecue.
The projects, including a health occupations simulation lab, application stations for the college’s admissions office and NMC’s Alumni Art Show, will share about $44,000 in funding. Officials will determine exact funding amounts for each project after the May 18 barbecue.
Roughly 10,000 people attend the annual cookout each year, raising more than $1.5 million for college programs and equipment since the fundraiser’s inception in 1956. according to an NMC press release.
