Seven charged in Antrim drug probe

BELLAIRE — Antrim County authorities charged several people with drug-related crimes after a lengthy investigation.

County residents Shaun R. Roggenbeck, 30, Jason C. Blackmore, 29, and Wallace E. Bigger are charged with a collective total of more than 15 drug-related felonies and misdemeanors. Grand Rapids-area attorney John O. Waters, 43, also faces drug delivery charges after authorities said he gave prescription drugs to an inmate in the Antrim County Jail. All recently were arrested.

Authorities also charged, but didn't yet arrest, Angel A. Knowles, 27, and Joseph Vincent Randazzo, 29, with drug-related offenses. Dale E. Stotler, 28, is charged with perjury after authorities said he lied under oath during an investigation.

Blackmore is the son of Antrim County Commissioner Bernie Blackmore. Roggenbeck is the son of former Antrim County Sheriff Dale Roggenbeck.

All of the charges stem from an investigative supboena process that began in 2009 and ended in 2010. The investigation was intended to reveal details about drug use and abuse in Antrim County. More than 40 people were questioned as part of the process, and 16 people have so far been convicted in part because of information gathered in the subpoena process.

Additional charges could still be forthcoming.
