---- — TRAVERSE CITY — A Bay Area Transportation Agency bus was damaged in a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Three Mile and Hammond Road.

The accident occurred Monday at about 5:45 a.m.

Grand Traverse County sheriff’s Lt. Bryan Marrow said Danny Wable, 49, of Anderson, Ind., was cited for failure to yield.

Wable’s vehicle was struck by a pickup truck driven by Robert Savage, 42, of Williamsburg, and pulled into a BATA bus.

The bus driver, Kathleen Cline, 63, of Kingsley, was the only person injured in the collision. The sole bus passenger was not injured.

Carrie Thompson, business development director for BATA, said the bus was taken out of the fleet while BATA determines the extent of the damage.

“Those buses are really sturdy,” she said. “It’s got some damage to the driver’s side. It’s pretty dented in and we’ll have to send in to see how much damage it has.”
