Radio co. gets 12 new stations

TRAVERSE CITY — A broadcasting company with radio stations throughout northern Michigan purchased 12 radio stations in Colorado.

A press release from MacDonald Garber Broadcasting said the company acquired the new radio stations under the name Always Mountain Time, LLC. The newly purchased stations are located in Colorado resort communities Vail, Breckenridge, Steamboat Springs, and Aspen.

A release issued by the company said the newly acquired stations were previously operated by Pete Benedetti of Always Mountain Time.

MacDonald Garber Broadcasting operates several northern Michigan radio stations. They include 106 KHQ, Lite 96.3, 104.5 BOB FM, Mix 96.7, 93.7 FM, 1340 AM The Ticket, 1270 AM, 102.3 FM WMKT the Talk Station and 1240 WATT Rush Radio.

The press release said company President Patricia MacDonald Garber believes the newly acquired radio stations met the “resort radio” niche the company prefers.
