A headline on page 3A of Saturday’s Record-Eagle should have stated authorities sought charges against two women in connection with an attack on Northwestern Michigan College’s campus. Eighty-sixth District Court records show a prosecutor authorized warrants against Ashley Ann Day, 21, and Alyssa Ann Rodriquez, 17, on Feb. 13. The warrants weren’t active until Tuesday, the day Rodriquez was arrested. Day already was in custody on an unrelated warrant.
Because of incorrect information received by the Record-Eagle, an item in the Feb. 10 Northern Notes column regarding a donation by the Northwest Lower Michigan UAW Retired Workers Council listed incorrect amounts and incorrect counties that received funds for food pantries. The council presented six checks for $1,000 each to representatives from food banks in Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee and Wexford counties.
