Pumpkin thrower faces bigger problems

SUTTONS BAY — A woman's decision to toss a pumpkin at a tavern window led to her third drunken driving arrest, police said.

Stephanie Marie Carsten was arrested Oct. 20 on suspicion of felony operating a vehicle under the influence, third offense and misdemeanor counts of operating a vehicle with a suspended license and malicious destruction of property.

A criminal complaint states a woman threw a pumpkin at the front window of the Village Inn in Suttons Bay.

Police responded and found a suspect in a vehicle nearby, prompting Carsten's arrest.
