Ex-Antrim man guilty of running drug house

BELLAIRE — A former Antrim County man was convicted on several drug-related felony charges.

Wallace Edward Bigger was found guilty of conspiring to deliver 450 to 999 grams of morphine, conducting a criminal enterprise, and maintaining a drug house. All charges, except maintaining a drug house, carry a 20-year maximum penalty. Sentencing will take place Nov. 19.

The Antrim County Prosecuting Attorney's Office said Bigger received hundreds of morphine pills each month from Dr. Ruth Ann Buck, of Saginaw, who currently is in federal prison for prescribing and distributing prescription drugs outside the course of professional practice and for no legitimate medical purpose. Bigger provided morphine to several people on a daily basis between 2006 and 2009, officials said.
