TRAVERSE CITY — Police arrested two women after a late-night fight in a downtown bar.

The Traverse City Police Department responded just before 2 a.m. Thursday to Dillinger's Bar on South Union Street. Police said two women fought outside the bar, and a 22-year-old Boon woman threw a drink into the eyes of a second woman, 22, of Traverse City.

A friend of the second woman intervened and was pushed to the ground and punched in the face by a 21-year-old woman from Mesick.

The women from Boon and Mesick were arrested for assault and battery and taken to the Grand Traverse County jail. The victims declined medical treatment for their injuries.
