Habitat to accept home applications

FROM STAFF REPORTS

TRAVERSE CITY -- Habitat for Humanity Grand Traverse Region will distribute applications to build homes in Grand Traverse and Leelanau counties.

An informational meeting explaining qualifications for home ownership through the agency will begin at 6 p.m. on Nov. 25 at the local Habitat office at 1129 Woodmere Ave., Suite A, Traverse City. Interested persons must attend the meeting to qualify.

Families are selected based on need, ability to make house payments of $450 to $550 per month and provide 275 hours of labor per adult toward building the home.
