Cherry Knoll gets $20K literacy grant

TRAVERSE CITY -- Cherry Knoll Elementary, part of Traverse City Area Public Schools, received a $20,000 grant for a family literacy program.

With the grant, the school will be able to develop a program that offers students math coaches and materials to improve basic skills both in the classroom and at home.

The funds are available through the Alcoa Foundation and Grand Traverse Stamping.
